Objective: SubNodes activities are aimed at linking secondary rail lines to core rail connections within the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) by creating secondary rail nodes, or “subnodes” which are intended to connect regions in the countries’ interior with TEN-T Core Network. The project will design strategies envisioning how the proposed subnodes can be made a reality and integrated into transport and spatial planning strategies in the relevant regions, and will also test specific measures to this end in practice through pilot actions.
